Wow, what an amazing state! Montana has some of the best views, wildlife, state & national parks, and might just be pulling us to live there someday! Our first 3 nights we stayed at a Harvest Host property just North of Kalispell. They were very accommodating with electric hookups for $5/night and free water (Marty’s in the Harvest Host app).

Night 1 we went to the local rodeo in Columbia Falls, MT. They have one weekly on Thursdays in the summer. It was really fun and the first time I’ve ever seen women compete in bronc riding!

Day 2 we explored Whitefish then rode the gondola to the top of Whitefish Resort for a late lunch. The views are breathtaking! 🏔

After Whitefish we met up at Sacred Waters Brewery with Ashlee’s college buddy, Ben Hammer, his awesome wife, Ashley, and their two boys! The kids became besties right away- their oldest Rye was so great with entertaining and wrestling Bentley. Luca and Bentley played with cars and trucks. Carter had fun crawling around and playing with bean bags. Great convos, drinks, and foods!

The next day (Saturday) we went to Ben’s family lake house on Flathead Lake. It is so beautiful and peaceful! We spent the day with the whole family- Ben’s parents, sister, cousins, and lots of kiddos… thank you to the Hammer Family for being so generous and welcoming!! 🥰

Sunday we packed up from Kalispell and headed to Glacier National Park! All I can say is, it’s amazing!! GNP was such a unique place and we can’t wait to go back!! We spent 3 nights at Fish Creek Campground and felt so lucky to have gotten our site to fit our setup because most sites are 25ft max.

Sunday afternoon we drove up to Logan Pass on the famous Going To The Sun road… amazing views, saw big horn sheep, mountain goats climbing the rocks, and the weeping wall was so cool! 🐏🐐🏔 That evening we cooked up a flank steak, beans, caprese salad, and watermelon 🍉

Day 2 in GNP we had a 3pm boat ride booked in Many Glacier so we left around 10am since it was about a 2-2.5 hour drive without stopping. The views again were jaw dropping gorgeous! Got there with time to do a mini hike, saw 2 moose while on the boat ride, enjoyed exploring the Many Glacier Lodge, and on our way back got caught in a CRAZY downpour with thunder and lightning- so cool!⛈

Day 3 in GNP we went to a small town called Polebridge for the famous huckleberry bear claws and lunch at the saloon. Such a cute little town! Views on the way there and back were gorgeous. Late afternoon we got to enjoy Apgar village and a little swimming in Lake MacDonald.

As we got back into cell coverage we got the news from title that our listing in Cornelius closed!! Woohoo! Thanks to our past client, Jason, for trusting us in selling his families estate property after his grandma passed away. He also was so kind and gave our info to his buddy, Scott, who was moving from Bend to Beaverton so we setup a call with them to go over their wants/needs of a house to buy. Working on the road!! 🏡📞💻🎉

From GNP we headed East to Great Falls, MT for a night at the KOA (Kampgrounds of America). It was a great campground with a water park for the kids, playground, free pancake breakfast, and small petting zoo. We decided to relax at the campground instead of touring around town so we didn’t get to see the waterfalls this trip.

Our last night in Montana was spent at a Harvest Host location called Yellowstone Cellars & Winery in Billings, MT. Yummy wines, flatbreads, and easy parking for the night!

We are heading East as we depart Montana for a night in Wyoming before getting to Mt Rushmore in South Dakota. Montana has a special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to be back! ❤️
